Confident Birth Package

The Confident Birth Package with Blissful Births

includes Private Childbirth Classes and Full Birth Doula Services.

For your doula, you will choose to hire Julie or Jessica (pending availability) to be fully present with you through the entire experience. We will act in an informative role by helping you understand what is happening, any medical terminology you struggle with, and what all your options are. We will also serve as physical support, using a variety of comfort measures and other physical skills that will help you be as comfortable as possible. As your doula, we help fill in the gaps and guide your network of support as one member of your team. Finally, should anything unexpected happen, you will have someone educated, objective, and experienced that can help you stay focused on your priorities and maintain the most positive experience possible.

As your Childbirth Instructor, Jessica will provide you with private classes that focus on and reflect your personal goals. This will include comfort measures for labor, information on evidence based practices surrounding pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, tools for your birth partner to know how best to be supportive, and tips for communicating with your maternity care providers. The Confident Birth Package includes the full series of classes (childbirth, breastfeeding, and parenting classes). This will be done in the location of your choosing on dates agreed upon jointly.

Prices

The fee for birth doula and childbirth instruction is $700. To cover the time for classes, $200 is due by (or on) the first class. For birth doula services, we ask a deposit of $100 for being on call. In addition to this non-refundable $300, we ask that $100 more (to cover half the doula fee) be paid before the birth. The other half ($300) is due within two weeks of the birth.

Individually, childbirth classes and birth doula services are usually $250 and $550, respectively.
